talk like a pirate day

It is cold in my room. As we have been systematically destroying our house there are little leeks and such that let the cold air in. I piled blankets on my bed making it into some sort of nest with History all over it. I never quite realized how much faster it is to type things then to write them by hand. It is like Wannamaker got up and said “I am morally opposed to spell check” Okay… So I have been lovingly writing out this god-awful history paper in my characteristic sketchy/slanty/illegible handwriting. Longhand is cursive. I suppose it is my quiet way of giving this teacher the finger for making us write it out like this. No Sir I DON’T need to practice writing things out in cursive. I learned that in third grade! I am sure every other word is misspelled.

I have a very short shift at work today which makes me happy. Not necessarily my paycheck… eh… that means I get to sit around in sweatshirts rubbing KITTY BELLY! *rub rub rub* And eating apple pancakes. OMG today is talk like a pirate day! *Ahem* So I best be stoin’ anchor an’ settin’ sail back to ye History Paper. Yarr! But ye avent’ seen tha last o’ me maties. Argh! I’ll put the fear o’ pirates back in tha earts’ o’ me customers.

So I’ve been making booty jokes and calling people trollop and strumpet all day. Then when someone asks what strumpet/trollop means I just shout “AVAST YE!” and take off. Though it’s not true to my pirate nature, it sure as hell is fun.
