I don’t understand how people can be so obsessed that they would rather not sleep just to get some grade. So I see people in class who are half-dead and bitchy (with good reason) failing the tests they stayed up all night studying for, because they are too tired to take them. Essays written at 4AM are never any good. So what’s the point? I prefer my health. Just confirm exactly how crazy you all actually are.

I go to work in an hour. I should probably grab something to eat before I go. Maybe work on the TOK essay. I say this is the most open ended one I have seen yet. I could literally write about anything. “Art upsets, Science reassures” ummmm…. no. Now I get to figure out how to say “no” in 1500 words.

I hate word counts. I think that if I can get my point across in fewer words that is good. But you know who needs a nice streamline essay when you can have an overweight one full of BS paragraphs that pretty much say what you could have said in one. On top of that why are we only taught the “essay” I mean how many people use that in daily life? Why were the foreign language teachers so surprised that no one knew a formal letter format? They assume we are taught useful things like that in English classes. Yes I am complaining. Doesn’t really change anything. My hands are still cold and my essay isn’t writing itself. But if it could…. it would… my essay would say to me, “I am not important Hannah. Don’t worry about me I can finish this up myself. Go do something useful!”, and with that the words would start writing themselves at about 3k/s.

Cramming and killing yourself studying days before a test is meaningless and stupid. If you’re not ready for the test by then, you’re not gonna be ready. But people like to make themselves feel smart by trying to slam a billion wrinkles worth of information in their brain in like 3 days. Then bitch about being tired the day of the test.

Word counts are evil. >.o; Especially when you’re trying to whittle something down to fit within the maximum amount…rawr.

I personally prefer to do that 20 minutes before the test. And THEN bitch about failing it.
