I am going to restart my computer in a minute. Windows has this problem with short term memory. In theory you shouldn’t have to turn off the computer except when you are installing things. Well if you find yourself leaving it on for say… more than a month is starts to get a little slow. I doesn’t really free up memory when you turn off a program. At least not completely. So you know you leave your computer on for too long when there is not enough memory to open small programs or scroll properly. My 98 was really bad about it. It was old but so pimped out. I had a much cleaner system back then. XP likes to run little programs behind your back. Even when you specifically tell it not to. It is like the spoiled brat of operating systems you can tell it whatever you like but it still is going to do what it wants regardless.
